The colorful packaging – and market positioning – makes the SoCozy product line unique. The brand says it’s the first-ever salon quality children’s hair care line, and plans to define this market niche.

SoCozy was founded by Cozy Friedman, who has twenty years of experience as a hair stylist in NYC, as the founder of Cozy’s Cuts for Kids Salons NYC.

The products are tailored to both the needs of moms and kids, with formulations that were developed to bring salon-level quality to kids’ hair care. The products don’t contain chemicals, toxins, or parabens. They are also completely free of gluten, wheat, and nuts. The products were also developed with kids’ unique hair textures in mind.

Friedman explained:

“When I created the SoCozy Hair Care Collection, I wanted to address an unfilled unmet need. Nowhere in the market could you find children’s hair care products that had premium, high-quality ingredients in kid-safe, custom developed formulations at accessible price points.”

Friedman partnered with Scott Gurfein to launch the business.

Gurfein commented:

“There was an incredible opportunity to add definition to the kids’ personal care category which has been largely disregarded, leaving parents few options to care for their children’s hair. As such, we see a rare opportunity to establish a leadership position in the global haircare market and win the trust of Moms, one of the most uniquely influential demographic segments on the planet.”

SoCozy is available beginning this month at C.O. Bigelow Apothecaries, Soap.com and Follica.com, as well as salons such as Pierre Michel.
